One of the main reasons I started gay escorting is because I love creating meaningful connections that impact people’s lives positively. But before I’m able to make these connections, I first have to ensure that I meet the right clients, which, quite frankly, is uniquely challenging in this line of work.

Since gay escorting isn’t recognized as a legitimate profession by society and garners no protections from the federal government, the industry is forced to operate primarily underground. Consequently, gay escorts and clients have no shared communications protocol before meeting. This can complicate initial correspondences, and at times, but both parties on the defensive. Gay escorts also have no way of knowing whether the clients that contact them are real or impostors trying to exploit them.

That said, learning how to communicate with clients while also keeping yourself safe is probably one of the most difficult challenges in the gay…
